How much does Joyin cost for a company?
The core service is free: meetings with no time limit, up to 100 participants, recording, permanent rooms. There is no paid plan and no card. Only an on-premise install with branding is discussed separately.
Is Joyin GDPR compliant?
The operator of this site is a company based in the EU, media servers are in Germany and data is stored in the EU. The privacy policy lists every processing purpose and retention period, and the DPA page lists our sub-processors. For companies that need it we sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.
How is a meeting protected from outsiders?
A waiting room: the host sees the name and device of everyone knocking and admits them manually. The lock closes the meeting to newcomers. A permanent room lets only added team members in without knocking.
Can we record meetings and share the recording?
Yes, the host starts recording with one button and every participant sees the indicator. The file appears in the dashboard and can be shared by link. Recordings are kept for 3 days.
How many people can join?
Up to 100 participants per meeting. For larger audiences there are live streams: viewers watch by link without signing up.
Are there apps?
Yes, Joyin for iOS and Android, but guests do not need them: the meeting opens in a browser on any device.
Does Joyin work for workshops and team building?
Yes. You can split the meeting into groups, at random or by hand, with a task and a timer. The host drops into any group, sends an announcement to all and brings everyone back with one button. Regular teams are saved as a group set.
Will there be meeting summaries?
Coming soon: AI meeting notes: who said what, what was agreed, and the tasks, in English and Spanish. Off by default; the host turns it on per meeting.
