1. Who we are and what you agree to

Joyin (joyin.work, the website and the apps) is a video meeting service operated by [pending] ([pending]; “we”). By using Joyin you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Joyin lets you create meeting rooms, join by link or code, talk over video and audio, share your screen, chat and send files, record the main room, split a meeting into groups and stream live. The service is free for personal and professional use; there are no paid plans on this site. Guests need no account; the host signs in with Google or Apple to keep rooms, history and recordings.

3. Age

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account (in Spain, Article 7 of the LOPDGDD) or the age of digital consent in your country if higher; below that you need a parent's or guardian's permission. A minor may join a meeting organised by a responsible adult as a guest, for example a lesson.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use Joyin for unlawful activity, spam, harassment or to infringe third-party rights.
• Do not try to disrupt the service, access other people's rooms or accounts without authorisation, or extract other users' data.
• Do not stream or share illegal content. We may close rooms and accounts that break these rules.

5. Recordings and transcripts

Only the host can turn on recording or transcription with AI notes. Whoever turns them on undertakes to inform participants before or at the start, to have the necessary legal basis and to comply with applicable law, including data protection law. Joyin shows every participant a visible indicator while recording or transcribing. Recordings are kept for 3 days and then deleted; you can delete them earlier from your dashboard.

6. Meeting content

Meeting content (video, audio, chat, files, recordings) is the responsibility of those who create it. We do not review or moderate it proactively; we act on notices of unlawful content. We acquire no rights to your content beyond what is needed to provide the service (transmitting it, storing it if you record, transcribing it if you turn that on).

7. Account

You are responsible for keeping access to your Google or Apple account secure. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the dashboard (“Your data”) or from the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, notifying you by email where possible.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running without interruption, but it is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee availability or freedom from errors. We may change or withdraw features; material changes are announced on this page with their date.

9. Intellectual property

The Joyin brand, software and design belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. As the service is free, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profit. Nothing above limits the rights granted to you by mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

11. Data protection

How we process your data is described in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy. Professionals and companies that need a data processing agreement can request it on the DPA page.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of [pending]. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring claims before the courts of your domicile. We do not take part in consumer dispute resolution proceedings (§ 36 VSBG).
